Ant Colony Optimization for Disassembly Sequence Planning

Volume 4b: 11th Design for Manufacturing and the Lifecycle Conference, 2006
In this paper, to solve disassembly sequence planning problem efficiently, Disassembly Feasibility Information Graph (DFIG) is presented firstly. Based on this graph, the problem of disassembly sequence planning is converted into a problem of searching optimal path in this directed and weighted graph.

An integrated approach to selective-disassembly sequence planning

Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, 2005
Abstract De-manufacturing (DM) is defined as a process to disassemble certain parts or components from a product. The parts or components are selected for recycling, reuse, maintenance or disposal. Selective-disassembly as the disassembly of the selected parts is a key process in DM.

A Discrete Bat Algorithm for Disassembly Sequence Planning

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University (Science), 2018
Based on the bat algorithm (BA), this paper proposes a discrete BA (DBA) approach to optimize the disassembly sequence planning (DSP) problem, for the purpose of obtaining an optimum disassembly sequence (ODS) of a product with a high degree of automation and guiding maintenance operation.

Disassembly sequence planning based on a genetic algorithm

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2014
Disassembly sequence planning is a relatively new subject and has only recently gained interest in the research literature. Disassembly simulations are important not only for improving product design, but also for maintaining an updated process plan, which becomes a tedious and complicated task given the complexity of today’s mechanisms.

Research on the Disassembly Sequence Planning for Mechanical Product

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
Mechanical products have been inevitably disassembled when they are regarded to be recycled or repaired. The disassembling procedure must be decided no matter what way is used to disassemble. The key is to decide the disassembly sequence for parts/components.
