Disaster response and climate change in the Pacific [PDF]
Disasters, and therefore disaster response, in the Pacific are expected to be affected by climate change. This research addressed this issue, and focused on the immediate humanitarian needs following a disaster, drawing upon adaptive capacity as a ...

Flexible silicon carbide (SiC) microelectrode arrays enable high‐fidelity, multichannel cell extracellular recording and precise localized ablation. SiC has been extensively evaluated to persist long‐term in chronic physiological conditions while remaining robust, with excellent electrical and electrochemical stability.

Large Faraday rotation at room temperature is observed in thin films of discotic copper (Cu2+: 3d9) and vanadyl (VO2+: 3d1) enaminoketone complexes. The large Verdet constant originates from a high density of paramagnetic centers, metal‐ligand p−d hybridization and π orbitals involved in optical transitions (identified by DFT calculations), as well as ...

Spacer‐Less Substrate‐Integrated Metasurface for Near‐Unity Terahertz Absorption
ABSTRACT Although conventional metal‐insulator‐metal (MIM) terahertz (THz) absorbers can provide near‐unity absorption, their multilayer stacks inevitably introduce additional thickness, mass, and residual stress, which limit their compatibility with THz thermal sensing platforms.

Mono‐ and bilayer MoS2 photodetectors enable wavelength‐selective AC photoresponse and optically driven capacitance modulation under visible illumination. Green excitation produces the strongest cumulative capacitive response, consistent with trap‐mediated charge accumulation at mono/bilayer and metal–MoS2 interfaces.

Mass Panic Disaster Management in COVID-19 Pandemic
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic occurred abruptly. It is an unexpected disaster. Uncertain treatment for this viral infection increases excessive anxiety, which does not occur only in one person but also in majority of people; therefore, it can ...
