Anfis to estimate discharge capacity of rectangular side weir
The adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (Anfis) is considered for flow over rectangular side weirs located on a straight channel as a substantial part of distribution channels in irrigation systems and treatment units. To estimate the outflow over a rectangular sharp-crested side weir, the discharge coefficient in the side weir equation needs to be ...

During the current opioid crisis, the majority of overdose deaths are attributed to ultra‐potent synthetic opioids, such as fentanyl. While fentanyl exerts its action via opioid receptors, we propose that potassium channels in the brain blood vessels may also sense fentanyl.

Effect of deformation of prefabricated vertical drains on discharge capacity
: The effects of deformation on PVD discharge capacity remain discrepant among investigators. This study investigates the discharge capacity behavior of deformed PVDs using a laboratory performance test. Four different PVDs were tested, and two different

Characterization of the key membrane protein cytochrome Cyc2 from Ghiorsea bivora
This study reports the first detailed biochemical analysis of Cyc2TAG1_1, a cytochrome protein involved in microbial iron oxidation. We produced and purified this enzyme in E. coli, then measured its iron‐oxidizing efficiency, and characterized its electrical and structural properties.

Free Flow Capacity and Queue Discharge Rate: Long-Term Changes
Traffic jams are caused by a traffic demand that exceeds road capacity. Road capacity, therefore, is an important road feature. This capacity might change as function of time, even for the same road stretch, owing to changing driving behaviors or vehicle

ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...
