Discharge detection and measurements
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1965Discharge measurements provide a sensitive, nondestructive means of detecting minute defects in insulation. The successful application of discharge-detection techniques depends on an appreciation of the following: the conditions in which discharges occur, the factors which affect the discharge magnitude and recurrence frequency, and the various ...

The discharge of a sewer has to be determined often over a short period only. This can serve as design basis, and an accurate discharge measurement is required only later. In this chapter, the so-called mobile discharge measurement for rectangular, trapezoidal and circular profiles is introduced.

Intelligent partial discharge measurement device
Proceedings of 1994 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, 2002This paper introduces a entirely new intelligent partial discharge measurement device that integrates with a microcomputer, A/D, time series control and the filter amplifier circuit for analog signal. It has four independent parallel A/D channels, the highest sampling frequency is 20 MHz and data store is 512 K.

Discharge Measurement in Circular Sewer
Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 1997The Sector Venturi is a novel design to determine discharge in sewers. Its main features are simplicity, accuracy of ±5%, and low cost. Further, the modular limit is comparable to standard flumes, and the capacity is equal to similar devices. Based on an optimization procedure, the best geometry was retained.

LEMKE: Partial Discharge Measurements
2017The LEMKE Partial Discharge Measurements dataset includes ASCII file outputs from PD testing of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and polypropylene film samples using a LEMKE LDS-6 measurement system. Files include PD magnitude, phase, and period number (please note voltage measurements are not valid, the correct applied RMS voltage is in the file name).

Measuring system for partial discharge
Quality Measurement: The Indispensable Bridge between Theory and Reality (No Measurements? No Science! Joint Conference - 1996: IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference and IMEKO Technical Committee 7. Conference Proceedings, 2002Measuring of the partial discharge (PD) parameters of the insulating systems is very important. The prompt insulating system estimation and its remaining life time give the great savings. The new, complex PD measuring methods are now developed in the world because conventional methods do not give valid information of the insulating system conditions ...

Partial discharge measurement and interpretation
IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine, 1988An overview is given of partial discharge patterns, their evaluation, and determination of their origin. Some brief comparisons of test equipment considered to be of general interest are made. The intent is to assist practitioners in the interpretation of results as well as in the accurate discrimination between true partial discharges within an ...

Partial discharge measuring technique
2001The partial discharge measurement is a typical non-destructive test and it can be used to judge the insulation performance at the beginning of its service time taking into account the reduction of the performance during the service time by the ageing whereby the ageing depends on numerous parameters like electrical stress, thermal stress and mechanical

MEAN STREAMFLOW FROM DISCHARGE MEASUREMENTS
International Association of Scientific Hydrology. Bulletin, 1969Abstract Mean flow of a stream is usually computed from a continuous record of flow ai a gaging station. A less costly method consists of (1) estimating 12 individual monthly flows from one discharge measurement per month and a concurrent gaging station record on a nearby stream, using a different relation for each month, (2) computing the annual mean ...

Basics of Partial Discharge Measurement
2019Partial discharge (PD) denotes a small, localized electrical discharge in the insulation between conductors, occurring when the local electric field strength exceeds a critical value. Prolonged exposure to partial discharges is known to degrade the dielectric behavior of the insulation and may even lead to complete breakdown. PD testing of high-voltage
