Solvability of non-semicontinuous systems of Stieltjes differential inclusions and equations
We prove an existence result for systems of differential inclusions driven by multivalued mappings which need not assume closed or convex values everywhere, and need not be semicontinuous everywhere.

Lyapunov exponents for discontinuous differential equations [PDF]
The vector field associated with a dynamical system is assumed to be piecewise continuously differentiable. The gradient of the vector field, entering into integral expressions for the Lyapunov exponents, may therefore contain derivatives of step functions. Results from the theory of distributions are used in the integrals’ evaluation.

Discontinuous collocation methods and gravitational self-force applications
Numerical simulations of extereme mass ratio inspirals, the mostimportant sources for the LISA detector, face several computational challenges. We present a new approach to evolving partial differential equations occurring in black hole perturbation ...

Existence of extremal solutions for discontinuous Stieltjes differential equations
Stieltjes differential equations, which contain equations with impulses and equations on time scales as particular cases, simply consist in replacing usual derivatives by derivatives with respect to a nondecreasing function.

On Finite/Fixed-Time Stability Theorems of Discontinuous Differential Equations
We investigated the finite/fixed-time stability (FNTS/FXTS) of discontinuous differential equations (DDEs) in this paper. To cope with differential equations that were discontinuous on the right-hand side, we utilized the Filippov solution, which is ...

A discontinuous functional differential equation
The authors give sufficient conditions for the existence of maximal and minimal solutions to discontinuous differential-functional initial value problems of the form \(x'(t)=f(t,x(t), x(\cdot))\), \(x(0)=0\). Apart from measurability and boundedness conditions, \(f\) is assumed to be quasimonotone increasing (with respect to the coordinate cone) in the

Continuous dependence of nonmonotonic discontinuous differential equations [PDF]
Continuous dependence of solutions for a class of nonmonotonic, discontinuous differential equations is studied. First, a local existence theorem due to Z Z . Wu is extended to a larger class. Then, a result concerning continuous dependence for this larger class is proven.

A note on strong solutions of stochastic differential equations with a discontinuous drift coefficient [PDF]
The existence of a mean-square continuous strong solution is established for vector-valued Itö stochastic differential equations with a discontinuous drift coefficient, which is an increasing function, and with a Lipschitz continuous diffusion ...
