Controlling chaos in discrete neural networks

Abstract A recently developed method for chaos control [Phys. Lett. A 181 (1993) 29] is applied to small discrete neural networks. This method is based on the application of periodic proportional pulses. In our study, this control is applied to one of the neurons, the others being free of direct control.

This paper presents a low power True Random Number Generator (TRNG), based on the discrete time-chaos, intended for a RFID security applications, to be developped on CMOS 350nm standard technology. The circuit relies on a discrete time chaotic oscillator to generate patterns to be sampled to get a raw random signal to be debiased by a digital corrector.

Chaos in discrete variable structure systems

A chaotic system is a nonlinear deterministic dynamical system whose behavior is erratic and irregular and therefore sensitive to small changes in initial conditions. The discretization chaos in the variable structure control of linear systems is investigated using Lyapunov exponents.
