Chaos in a Discrete Delay Population Model [PDF]
This paper is concerned with chaos in a discrete delay population model. The map of the model is proved to be chaotic in the sense of both Devaney and Li-Yorke under some conditions, by employing the snap-back repeller theory.

Universal delay estimation for discrete channels [PDF]
Summary: The use of information theory concepts for universal estimation of delay for classes of discrete channels is discussed. The problem is presented as one of hypothesis testing. Although the channel statistics are not known, for large enough signal duration, the exponent of the average error probability is equal to that associated with the ...

Discrete Razumikhin-type technique and stability of the Euler-Maruyama method to stochastic functional differential equations [PDF]
A discrete stochastic Razumikhin-type theorem is established to investigate whether the Euler--Maruyama (EM) scheme can reproduce the moment exponential stability of exact solutions of stochastic functional differential equations (SFDEs).

Stability of Stochastic Discrete-Time Neural Networks with Discrete Delays and the Leakage Delay
This paper investigates the stability of stochastic discrete-time neural networks (NNs) with discrete time-varying delays and leakage delay. As the partition of time-varying and leakage delay is brought in the discrete-time system, we construct a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii function based on stability theory. Furthermore sufficient conditions are derived

Does Discretion Delay Development?
Problem, research strategy, and findingsLocal governments sometimes approve multifamily housing through a discretionary process, meaning a public body must vote to entitle the proposal before it can seek a building permit. By-right entitlement, in contrast, allows developers to apply directly for a building permit.

Delay-dependent exponential stability of neutral stochastic delay systems [PDF]
This paper studies stability of neutral stochastic delay systems by linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. Delay dependent criterion for exponential stability is presented and numerical examples are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed
