Type-IV DCT, DST, and MDCT algorithms with reduced numbers of arithmetic operations

open access: yes, 2009
We present algorithms for the type-IV discrete cosine transform (DCT-IV) and discrete sine transform (DST-IV), as well as for the modified discrete cosine transform (MDCT) and its inverse, that achieve a lower count of real multiplications and additions ...

Flexibility and Dynamicity Enhances and Controls Supramolecular Self‐Assembly of Zinc(II) Metallogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zinc(II) coordination complexes with tunable aryloxy‐imine ligands exhibit controllable supramolecular self‐assembly into hierarchical fibrous structures. Coordination‐driven stacking, not π–π interactions, enables gelation, dynamic assembly/disassembly, and enhanced nanomechanical properties.

Localization Operators and an Uncertainty Principle for the Discrete Short Time Fourier Transform

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
Localization operators in the discrete setting are used to obtain information on a signal f from the knowledge on the support of its short time Fourier transform.

Discrete Fourier transform as a basis for steganographic method

open access: yesTrudy Odesskogo Politehničeskogo Universiteta, 2014
Actuality of developing of new steganographic methods doesn’t cause doubts due to the rapid development of information technologies and considerable minuses of existing steganomethods.

Fast Radix-32 Approximate DFTs for 1024-Beam Digital RF Beamforming

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The discrete Fourier transform (DFT) is widely employed for multi-beam digital beamforming. The DFT can be efficiently implemented through the use of fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithms, thus reducing chip area, power consumption, processing time ...

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

Implementation of quantum and classical discrete fractional Fourier transforms

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Fourier analysis has become a standard tool in contemporary science. Here, Weimann et al. report classical and quantum optical realizations of the discrete fractional Fourier transform, a generalization of the Fourier transform, with potential ...

Zwitterionic Self‐Assembled Monolayer for Simultaneous Noise Suppression and Hole Extraction in High‐Performance Near‐Infrared Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a new hole transporting material (HTM) mechanism for self‐assembled monolayers in near‐infrared organic photodetectors. The formation of zwitterions induces a strong electric field that significantly increases the work function of HTM‐coated indium tin oxide substrates. The devices exhibit low dark current and noise, along with high

Discrete Two-Dimensional Fourier Transform in Polar Coordinates Part I: Theory and Operational Rules

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
The theory of the continuous two-dimensional (2D) Fourier transform in polar coordinates has been recently developed but no discrete counterpart exists to date.
