Thalamo‐Lesional Connectivity Signatures of Bilateral Tonic–Clonic Seizures in Focal Cortical Dysplasia‐Related Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) is the most common etiology of drug‐resistant epilepsy in children. Focal to bilateral tonic–clonic seizures (FBTCS) mark a high risk of drug‐resistant epilepsy and involve thalamocortical circuitry in their generation and propagation.

Adaptive Observer for Coupled Wave PDE and Infinite ODE With Sampled Data and Unknown Input: Application to Brain Hemodynamics Estimation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

On the effect of drag forces in mooring system restoring forces

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Mooring line is a major source of stability and plays a key role in the global response of offshore floating wind turbine. In the current state of the research, a formulation based on the analytical catenary equation is most commonly used for the ...

On a fast discrete straight line segment detection

open access: yesProceedings of The 2nd International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Image Processing 2014, 2014
Detecting lines is one of the fundamental problems in image processing. In addition for real time applications, detection should be achieved in real time. In this paper weinvestigate the use of fast trigger processor technology used in highenergy physics experiments.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A Discrete LINE-1 Transcript in Mouse Blastocysts

open access: yesDevelopmental Biology, 1993
The LINE-1 (L1) repetitive elements of mammalian genomes are retrotransposons lacking LTRs; L1-encoded reverse transcriptase probably mediates an important step in the generation of new copies. Most L1 transcripts are nonspecific, but discrete full length transcripts are present in embryonal carcinoma cells.

Super-resolution amplification of bitmap images based on 3D modeling theory

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, 2019
As a general format of the image, bitmap(BMP) image has wide applications, and consequently it is an important part of image processing. By segmenting the bitmap and combining the three-dimesional(3 D) model of the discrete algorithm with the scanning ...
