Discrete Hamiltonians of discrete Painlevé equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
We express discrete Painlev\'e equations as discrete Hamiltonian systems. The discrete Hamiltonian systems here mean the canonical transformations defined by generating functions. Our construction relies on the classification of the discrete Painlev\'e equations based on the surface-type. The discrete Hamiltonians we obtain are written in the logarithm

On r-Jacobsthal and r-Jacobsthal-Lucas Numbers

open access: yesAnnales Mathematicae Silesianae, 2023
Recently, Bród introduced a new Jacobsthal-type sequence which is called r-Jacobsthal sequence in current study. After defining the appropriate r-Jacobsthal–Lucas sequence for the r-Jacobsthal sequence, we obtain some properties of these two sequences ...

Chiral properties of discrete Joyce and Hestenes equations [PDF]

open access: yesSpringer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics, 333 (2020), 2019
This paper concerns the question of how chirality is realized for discrete counterparts of the Dirac-K\"{a}hler equation in the Hestenes and Joyce forms. It is shown that left and right chiral states for these discrete equations can be described with the aid of some projectors on a space of discrete forms.

Simulation of Inhomogeneous Refractive Index Fields Induced by Hot Tailored Forming Components

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a simulation model for simulating inhomogeneous refractive index fields (IRIF) in hot‐forged components, accounting for thermal influences and complex geometries. Through this simulation, a priori knowledge about the propagation of the IRIF can be obtained, allowing for the positioning of the component or an optical measurement ...

An Ontology‐Augmented Digital Twin for Fiber‐Reinforced Polymer Structures at the Example of Wind Turbine Rotor Blades

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A methodology for establishing an ontology‐augmented structural digital twin for fiber‐reinforced polymer structures dedicated to individual lifetime prediction, in this case, a wind turbine rotor blade, is introduced. The methodology resembles the manufacturing as well as the operation of the structure.

Cellular manufacturing problem - A graph theoretic approach

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2019
The cell formation problem which arises in cellular manufacturing can be formulated in graph theoretic terms. The input for a cellular manufacturing problem consists of a set X of m machines and a set of Y of p parts and an m × p matrix A = (aij), where ...
