This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Modulation analysis of large-scale discrete vortices [PDF]
The behavior of large-scale vortices governed by the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation is studied. Using a discrete version of modulation theory, it is shown how vortices are trapped and stabilized by the self-consistent Peierls-Nabarro potential that they generate in the lattice.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

High-Speed GaN-Based Superluminescent Diode for 4.57 Gbps Visible Light Communication
Visible light communication (VLC) is a promising technology for next-generation high-speed optical wireless data links. Among various transmitters, GaN-based superluminescent diodes (SLDs) show interesting characteristics, including a large modulation ...

Nonlinearity-induced localization in a periodically-driven semi-discrete system
We demonstrate that nonlinearity plays a constructive role in supporting the robustness of dynamical localization in a model which is discrete, in one dimension and continuous in the orthogonal one.

Design, transform and control of optical field in discrete optical system: an example
A discrete optical system can broaden the spatial distribution of the input light through optical coupling in array waveguides, just like diffraction in continuous media.

Mathematical model of speech signal leakage channels during discrete-quantified conversion
The purpose of the article is to estimate the leakage channel of a discrete-quantized speech signal with amplitude-pulse modulation. Discrete-quantized analog-to-digital conversion of signals in the article is considered by the example of pulse-amplitude
