Discrete nonlinear systems: on the admissible nonlinear disturbances

Journal of the Franklin Institute, 2001
Consider the linear nominal discrete system \[ x_{i+1}= Ax_i,\quad y_i= Cx_i,\quad x_0\in \mathbb{R}^n\tag{1} \] and a perturbed form \[ x^\xi_{i+1}= Ax^\varepsilon_i+ Be_i+ g(\beta_i) f(x^\xi_i),\;x^\xi_0= x_0+ w,\;y^\xi_i= Cx^\xi_i,\tag{2} \] where \(e_i\), \(\beta_i\), \(w\) are some disturbance parameters. The disturbance \((w,(e_i),(\beta_i))\) is

Distinguishability of Discrete-Time Nonlinear Systems

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2014
This note considers the problem of identifying a discrete-time nonlinear system, within a finite family of possible models, from data sequences of a finite length. The problem is approached by resorting to the notion of output distinguishability. This amounts to asking whether output data sequences generated by different models can be distinguished ...

Nonlinear Systems in Discrete Time

1986
The paper deals with a survey presentation of recent results obtained in the area of nonlinear discrete time systems following an approach based on the functional expansions of the state and output behaviours.

On Overparametrization of Nonlinear Discrete Systems

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1998
One of the subjects which has received a great deal of attention is the overparametrization problem. It is known that the dynamical performance of the model representations deteriorates if the respective model structure is too complex. This paper investigates the problem of model overparametrization.

Controllability of Nonlinear Discrete Systems with Degeneracy

Acta Mathematicae Applicatae Sinica, English Series, 2023
In this paper, authors mainly studied the controllability of nonlinear discrete control systems with certain degeneracy for linear parts. Some applicable conditions are established to ensure the controllability of such systems by Fredholm operators and coincidence degree theory. Some examples are also given to illustrate the main results of this paper.
