Design-based RCT estimators and central limit theorems for baseline subgroup and related analyses

open access: yesJournal of Causal Inference
There is a growing literature on design-based (DB) methods to estimate average treatment effects (ATEs) for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) for full sample analyses.

Smallness of neutrino masses and leptogenesis in 331 composite Higgs model

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
We consider 331 composite Higgs model (CHM3) in which the Lagrangian of the strongly coupled sector is invariant with respect to global SU(3)C × SU(3) × U(1)6 symmetry that can originate from SU(6) subgroup of E6 and contains the gauge group of the ...

Baryon asymmetry generation in the E6CHM

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2017
In the E6 inspired composite Higgs model (E6CHM) the strongly interacting sector possesses an SU(6) global symmetry which is expected to be broken down to its SU(5) subgroup at the scale f≳10 TeV. This breakdown results in a set of pseudo-Nambu–Goldstone

Redefining the Role of Splenectomy in Scirrhous Gastric Cancer: Toward a Selective Multimodal Strategy

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Scirrhous gastric cancer, characterized by diffuse infiltration and a high propensity for peritoneal dissemination, remains one of the most aggressive subtypes of gastric cancer. Despite a relatively high incidence of splenic hilar lymph node (No. 10) metastasis, the oncologic benefit of splenectomy remains controversial, while its association

The Concentration Function Problem for Locally Compact Groups Revisited: Nondissipating Space-Time Random Walks, -Decomposable Laws, and Their Continuous Time Analogues

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2013
The concentration function problem for locally compact groups is concerned with the structure of groups admitting adapted nondissipating random walks.

Discrete subgroups of Möbius transformations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2013
It is well known that Jörgensen's inequality gives a necessary condition for a nonelementary two generator subgroup of Möbius transformations acting in \(\hat{\mathbb{R}}^{2}\) to be discrete. \textit{G. J. Martin} [Acta Math. 163, No. 3--4, 253--289 (1989; Zbl 0698.20037)] generalized this to \(\hat{\mathbb{R}}^{n}\).

Determination of Genus of Normal Subgroups of Discrete Groups

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2010
In this work, subgroups of a special class of discrete subgroups of PLS(2,R), namely the ones of the first kind with genus 0, have been studied. We establish a technique to compute the genus of these subgroups in terms of the genus of easier groups. The method established here can be used for triangle groups, surface groups and Hecke groups (including ...

Toward Predictable Nanomedicine: Current Forecasting Frameworks for Nanoparticle–Biology Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Predictive models successfully screen nanoparticles for toxicity and cellular uptake. Yet, complex biological dynamics and sparse, nonstandardized data limit their accuracy. The field urgently needs integrated artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems biology, and open‐access data protocols to bridge the gap between materials science and safe ...

MSSM-like from SU5×D4 models

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2016
Using finite discrete group characters and symmetry breaking by hyperflux as well as constraints on top-quark family, we study minimal low energy effective theory following from SU5×D4 models embedded in F-theory with non-abelian flux.
