Review of cognitive diagnostic models (CDMs): Recent methodological advancements for addressing practical challenges

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Cognitive diagnostic models (CDMs) have become essential tools for providing fine‐grained information about individuals' mastery of cognitive skills. While prior reviews have emphasized statistical foundations and deep learning‐based developments, this article focuses on recent methodological innovations designed to address persistent ...

A regularised latent‐class item response model for detecting measurement non‐invariance in ordinal response scales

open access: yesBritish Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Measurement non‐invariance arises when the psychometric properties of a scale differ across subgroups, undermining the validity of group comparisons. At the item level, this manifests as differential item functioning (DIF), where item responses differ across groups after controlling for the latent trait.

Interlaboratory performance testing on EPIC v2.0 CNS tumor profiling demonstrates high reproducibility of tumor classification but reveals the need for harmonized copy number variation reporting

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Using the Infinium MethylationEPIC v2.0 array and Heidelberg Brain Tumor Classifier v12.8, 24 international laboratories achieved highly reproducible CNS tumor classification (97.9% correct; median β‐correlation r = 0.99), while copy number variation interpretation showed substantial interlaboratory variability, highlighting the need for harmonized CNV

The effects of environmental regulations on performance of firms with heterogeneous resilience

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Economics/Revue canadienne d'économique, EarlyView.
Abstract This study explores the impacts of environmental regulations on performance of heterogeneous firms through both theoretical modelling and empirical analysis. It further examines the role of firm resilience in moderating these impacts. We develop a dynamic general equilibrium model predicting that a stricter environmental regulation increases ...

Survey on Visualization of Information Diffusion over Networks

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Information Diffusion (ID) describes how a value (e.g., a pathogen, a rumor, a packet) spreads through an underlying “medium” network of elements (e.g., a social or computer network). Understanding the information diffusion process is essential to predicting trends, controlling misinformation, and enhancing decision‐making as well as ...
