The Ecology of Human Sleep (EcoSleep) Cohort Study: Protocol for a longitudinal repeated measurement burst design study to assess the relationship between sleep determinants and outcomes under real‐world conditions across time of year

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 34, Issue 2, April 2025.
Summary The interplay of daily life factors, including mood, physical activity, or light exposure, influences sleep architecture and quality. Laboratory‐based studies often isolate these determinants to establish causality, thereby sacrificing ecological validity.

Easing the Burden? Religiosity and Educational Inequality in Pain Interference

open access: yesJournal for the Scientific Study of Religion, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A consistent inverse gradient in pain prevalence is typically observed across educational strata. Religion stands out as a source of social and personal support that may moderate the amount of chronic pain interference but may do so differently across the educational spectrum.

Phylogenetic Reconstruction of Lung Evolution in Extant Squamata

open access: yesJournal of Zoology, EarlyView.
The Squamata group exhibits remarkable diversity in lung structure. However, a comprehensive understanding of how this variation evolved within the clade is still lacking. To reconstruct the evolutionary history of lungs of living squamates, we conducted comparative phylogenetic analyses using categorized lung traits, such as lung type, respiratory ...

Irreducible discrete subgroups in products of simple Lie groups

open access: yes
We produce an example of an irreducible discrete subgroup in the product $SL(2,\R)\times SL(2,\R)$ which is not a lattice. This answers a question asked in [15].

The first discovery of a shocked, metasomatised CV3 chondrule‐fragment in a (Al,Cu)‐bearing micrometeorite

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract We report the discovery of the second (Al,Cu)‐alloy–bearing micrometeorite, FB‐A2, recovered from Mount Gariglione (southern Italy), representing the sixth such occurrence worldwide. Although chondritic in nature, FB‐A2 differs markedly from previously described microspherules.
