Minimal eclectic flavor group Q 8 ⋊ S 3 and neutrino mixing
We perform a comprehensive analysis of the minimal eclectic flavor group Q 8 ⋊ S 3 which is isomorphic to GL(2, 3), and all its irreducible representations are induced from the irreducible representations of Q 8 and S 3.

Fractional Skyrmion molecules in a ℂP N−1 model
We study fractional Skyrmions in a ℂP 2 baby Skyrme model with a generalization of the easy-plane potential. By numerical methods, we find stable, metastable, and unstable solutions taking the shapes of molecules.

't Hooft anomalies of discrete gauge theories and non-abelian group cohomology
We study discrete symmetries of Dijkgraaf-Witten theories and their gauging in the framework of (extended) functorial quantum field theory. Non-abelian group cohomology is used to describe discrete symmetries and we derive concrete conditions for such a ...

Discrete flavour symmetries, neutrino mixing and leptonic CP violation [PDF]
The current status of our knowledge of the 3-neutrino mixing parameters and of the CP violation in the lepton sector is summarised. The non-Abelian discrete symmetry approach to understanding the observed pattern of neutrino mixing and the related ...

Designing stable Ru nanoparticle catalyst remains a critical challenge in electrochemical applications. Here, a strategy is presented to stabilize Ru catalysts by leveraging Ce‐doped ZrO2 supports (ZrCeO2‐x), which enhance catalyst durability and activity through electronic metal‐support interactions and stabilized oxygen vacancies.

Discrete symmetries with neutral mesons
Symmetries, and Symmetry Breakings, in the Laws of Physics play a crucial role in Fundamental Science. Parity and Charge Conjugation Violations prompted the consideration of Chiral Fields in the construction of the Standard Model, whereas CP-Violation ...

Discrete symmetries and 1/3-quantum vortices in condensates of F=2 cold atoms
In this Letter we study discrete symmetries of mean field manifolds of condensates of F=2 cold atoms, and various unconventional quantum vortices. Discrete quaternion symmetries result in two species of spin defects that can only appear in integer ...

Discrete Symmetries and Clifford Algebras [PDF]
An algebraic description of basic discrete symmetries (space reversal P, time reversal T and their combination PT) is studied. Discrete subgroups of orthogonal groups of multidimensional spaces over the fields of real and complex numbers are considered in terms of fundamental automorphisms of Clifford algebras.

The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

Mixed anomalies, two-groups, non-invertible symmetries, and 3d superconformal indices
Mixed anomalies, higher form symmetries, two-group symmetries and non-invertible symmetries have proved to be useful in providing non-trivial constraints on the dynamics of quantum field theories.
