Symmetry-Preserving Discretization for DNS

2004
This paper describes a numerical method for solving the (incompressible) Navier-Stokes equations that is based on the idea that the motivation for discretizing differential operators should be to mimic their fundamental conservation and dissipation properties. Therefore, the symmetry of the underlying differential operators is preserved.

Symmetries of random discrete copulas

Kybernetika, 2008
Summary: We analyze some properties of the discrete copulas in terms of permutations. We observe the connection between discrete copulas and the empirical copulas, and then we analyze a statistic that indicates when the discrete copula is symmetric and obtain its main statistical properties under independence.
