This work addresses the challenge of current–voltage asymmetry in scalable laminated semitransparent organic photovoltaics (OPVs) for indoor applications. Vertical stratification of materials is shown to create an energy barrier, leading to performance differences under different illumination directions.

Flavor ``Conservation'' and Hierarchy in TeV-scale Supersymmetric Standard Model [PDF]
Recently a TeV-scale Supersymmetric Standard Model (TSSM) was proposed in which the gauge coupling unification is as precise (at one loop) as in the MSSM, and occurs in the TeV range.

MXene dervied CoFe composites show increased initial Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) activity compared to the pure CoFe and MXene in an Anion Exchange Membrane device. Vanadium vacancies in the MXene plays a role in increased OER activity and hinders Fe leaching in the AEM device over using the pure V2C MXene as a support material for the CoFe ...

Discrete symmetries play an important role in several extensions of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. For instance, in order to avoid flavor changing neutral currents, a discrete Z 2 symmetry is imposed on the Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM ...

Anomalous continuous translations
We discuss a large class of non-relativistic continuum field theories where the Euclidean spatial symmetry of the classical theory is violated in the quantum theory by an Adler-Bell-Jackiw-like anomaly.

Kink-induced symmetry breaking patterns in brane-world SU(3)^3 trinification models
The trinification grand unified theory (GUT) has gauge group SU(3)^3 and a discrete symmetry permuting the SU(3) factors. In common with other GUTs, the attractive nature of the fermionic multiplet assignments is obviated by the complicated multi ...

Discrete Symmetry and stability in Hamiltonian Dynamics [PDF]
In the present tutorial we address a problem with a long history, which remains of great interest to date due to its many important applications: It concerns the existence and stability of periodic and quasiperiodic orbits in N-degree of freedom ...

From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.
