Robust Exponential Stability for LPD Discrete-Time System with Interval Time-Varying Delay

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
This paper investigates the problem of robust exponential stability for uncertain linear-parameter dependent (LPD) discrete-time system with delay. The delay is of an interval type, which means that both lower and upper bounds for the time-varying delay ...

Exponentially practical stability of discrete time singular system with delay and disturbance

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
In this paper, we consider exponentially practical stability of a discrete time singular system with disturbance. By using Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability theory, some criteria for exponentially practical stability of such a system are derived.

Periodicity in a Class of Systems of Delay Difference Equations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2011
We study a system of delay difference equations modeling four-dimensional discrete-time delayed neural networks with no internal decay. Such a discrete-time system can be regarded as the discrete analog of a differential equation with piecewise constant ...

Effects of Discrete Time Delays and Parameters Variation on Dynamical Systems

open access: yesBiomath, 2015
Delay Differential Equations (DDE's) have received considerable attention in recent years. В While most of these articles focused on the effects of the time delays on the stability of the equilibrium points and on the bifurcation that they may raised, В ...

Controllability Analysis of Linear Discrete Time Systems with Time Delay in State

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
The controllability issues for linear discrete-time systems with delay in state are addressed. By introducing a new concept, the minimum controllability realization index (MinCRI), the characteristic of controllability is revealed.

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Reachable Set Estimation of Discrete Singular Systems with Time-Varying Delays and Bounded Peak Inputs

open access: yesMathematics
This paper studies the estimation of reachable sets for discrete-time singular systems with time-varying delays and bounded peak inputs. A novel linear matrix inequality condition for the reachable set estimation of the time-varying time-delay discrete ...

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
