Identification of a discrete-time dynamical system
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2000A novel generalized minimum variance (GMV) system identification algorithm is developed, and its performance is gauged against the established generalized least squares (GLS) estimation algorithm. The emphasis of the proposed GMV algorithm is on the rigorous treatment of measurement noise for dynamical system identification.

Conductance and Mixing Time in Discrete Dynamical Systems
Discrete Dynamics and Difference Equations, 2010We have introduced the notion of conductance in discrete dynamical systems using the known results from graph theory applied to systems arising from the iteration of continuous functions. The conductance allowed differentiating several systems with the same topological entropy, characterizing them from the point of view of the ability of the system to ...

Discrete-time linear systems with fuzzy dynamics
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2014This paper analyzes linear discrete-time dynamic systems where both state variables and model coefficients are represented by fuzzy numbers. Since fuzzy numbers are not a closed group with respect to multiplication, the evolution of a system with fuzzy dynamic parameters can not be directly obtained in a closed form.

Discrete-Time Dynamical Systems
2017In this chapter, we introduce the two classes of discrete-time dynamical systems that we will focus on in the rest of the book: piecewise affine control systems with polytopic parameter uncertainties and switched linear systems. As particular instantiations of the first class, we define autonomous systems, fixed parameter systems, and combinations of ...

Consensusability of Discrete-Time Dynamic Multiagent Systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2012This technical note investigates the problems when the discrete-time multiagent dynamic systems are consensusable, and how to synthesize the consensus feedback control law when the consensusability condition holds. We focus on multiagent systems (MASs) over the undirected graph of the communication topology and derive the consensusability condition for

Output reversibility in linear discrete-time dynamical systems
Journal of the Franklin Institute, 2013Output reversibility involves dynamical systems where for every initial condition and the corresponding output there exists another initial condition such that the output generated by this initial condition is a time-reversed image of the original output with the time running forward.

Discrete-Time Nonautonomous Dynamical Systems
2012These notes present and discuss various aspects of the recent theory for time-dependent difference equations giving rise to nonautonomous dynamical systems on general metric spaces:First, basic concepts of autonomous difference equations and discrete-time (semi-) dynamical systems are reviewed for later contrast in the nonautonomous case.

Discrete-Time Linear Dynamical Systems
2013The digital character of computers incites us now to turn the spotlight onto sampled control systems, where the control is fed into the system only at discrete times. In § 6.2, we describe how a continuous-time linear dynamical system can be sampled, yielding an exact discretized discretetime linear dynamical system.
