Matrix Factorization and Some Fast Discrete Transforms

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, three discrete transforms related to vector spaces over finite fields are studied. For our purposes, and according to the properties of the finite fields, the most suitable transforms are as follows: for binary fields, this is the Walsh ...

Multiplication Symmetric Convolution Property for Discrete Trigonometric Transforms

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2009
The symmetric-convolution multiplication (SCM) property of discrete trigonometric transforms (DTTs) based on unitary transform matrices is developed. Then as the reciprocity of this property, the novel multiplication symmetric-convolution (MSC) property ...

Possibilities of Using Several Discrete Transforms for the Video Compression

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2000
This paper treats of compression of digital video signals and the mainaim is to probe the possibility of using several discrete transformsbesides well-known discrete cosine transform (DCT).

Implementation of quantum and classical discrete fractional Fourier transforms

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Fourier analysis has become a standard tool in contemporary science. Here, Weimann et al. report classical and quantum optical realizations of the discrete fractional Fourier transform, a generalization of the Fourier transform, with potential ...

Periodic discrete Darboux transforms

open access: yes, 2023
We express Darboux transformations of discrete polarised curves as parallel sections of discrete connections in the quaternionic formalism. This immediately leads to the linearisation of the monodromy of the transformation.

The discrete triangle transform [PDF]

open access: yes2004 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2004
We introduce the discrete triangle transform (DTT), a non-separable transform for signal processing on a two-dimensional equispaced triangular grid. The DTT is, in a strict mathematical sense, a generalization of the DCT, type III, to two dimensions, since the DTT is built from Chebyshev polynomials in two variables in the same way as the DCT, type III,

The Discrete Cosine Transform on Triangles [PDF]

open access: yesICASSP 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2019
The discrete cosine transform is a valuable tool in analysis of data on undirected rectangular grids, like images. In this paper it is shown how one can define an analogue of the discrete cosine transform on triangles. This is done by combining algebraic signal processing theory with a specific kind of multivariate Chebyshev polynomials.

Spectral analysis of health and vegetables index using discrete wavelet transforms

open access: yes, 2022
: Sociophysics reveals that non-physical things of society can be understood and explained by the laws of physics. Health of people is one of the main parameters that decide the development of a country.

Novel sparse OBC based distributed arithmetic architecture for matrix transforms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Inner product (IP) forms the basis of a number of signal processing algorithms and applications such as transforms, filters, communication systems etc. Distributed arithmetic (DA) provides an effective methodology to implement IP of vectors and matrices ...

ON THE SUMMABILITY OF THE DISCRETE HILBERT TRANSFORM [PDF]

open access: yesUral mathematical journal, 2018
Summary: In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of the distribution function of the discrete Hilbert transform of sequences from the class \(l_1\) and find a necessary condition and a sufficient condition for the summability of the discrete Hilbert transform of a sequence from the class \(l_1\).
