Discrete-time scale-shift approach for wavelet construction and analysis
We provide a sufficient condition to construct a wavelet family from a purely discrete-time signal. The construction is based on an exact mathematical definition of the scale-shift operator in discrete-time and strongly motivated by a strict equivalence ...

P4bm framework in NaNbO3‐Ba(Ti, Hf)O3 ferrodistortive relaxor entails short‐range and highly‐polar ferrodistortive orders. The abundant highly‐polar orders facilitate to increase entropy change, and robust octahedral oxygen tilt enables to impede thermal perturbations.

Adaptive colour constancy algorithm using discrete wavelet transform [PDF]
The colours of chromatically homogeneous object surfaces measured by a sensor vary with the illuminant colour used to illuminate the objects. In contrast, colour constancy enables humans to identify the true colours of the surfaces under varying ...

Here, we provide the reader with the current state of the art in the fabrication of high‐T2‐coherence diamond, optimized through the use of double electron–electron resonance (DEER) spectroscopy. We reveal the main as well as yet unidentified spin defects, the reduction of which is essential for reducing the spin bath and fabricating materials for ...

The nanostructure, size, and function of mRNA‐loaded lipid nanoparticles are evaluated before drying, within polymer microneedles, and after rehydration. The results reveal the polymer and LNP loadings required to recover nanostructure and preserve the delivery performance in dry‐state formulations.

Reducing Image Size and Noise Removal in Fast Object Detection using Wavelet Transform Neural Network [PDF]
A robot detects its surroundings through camera information and its response requires a high-speed image process. Due to the increasing application of vision systems, various algorithms have been developed to increase speed of image processing.

A fast discrete wavelet transform algorithm for visual processing applications [PDF]
For visual processing applications, the two-dimensional (2-D) Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) can be used to decompose an image into four-subband images.

Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights
