Evaluation of Mutation Risk Using Patient‐Derived Organoids in Patients With Lynch Syndrome

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 10, Page 2585-2594, 15 November 2026.
ABSTRACT Lynch syndrome (LS) is a hereditary cancer predisposition syndrome caused by germline mutation of DNA mismatch repair (MMR) genes, most notably associated with colorectal cancer. Although LS patients face high risk of CRC, risk can vary even among those with the same pathogenic MMR germline mutations. We suggest a functional assay platform for

Establishment of Salivary Gland Tumors Arising in Salivary Gland‐Specific EWSR1::ATF1 Transgenic Mice

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 48, Issue 10, Page 2733-2744, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Salivary gland carcinomas are uncommon malignancies with various histological subtypes harboring fusion genes. The EWSR1::ATF1 fusion gene, resulting from a translocation between chromosomes 12 and 22, is frequently observed in hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma (HCCC). However, the role of this fusion gene in HCCC oncogenesis remains

Systemic Treatments for Recurrent or Metastatic Sinonasal Carcinomas: A Retrospective Multicenter Study

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 48, Issue 10, Page 2810-2820, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Sinonasal cancers are rare and heterogeneous and pose a therapeutic challenge at an advanced stage due to the lack of data on appropriate systemic management. Musculoskeletal (Mal)adaptations in Response to a > 30 000‐km Running Challenge

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 17, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Ultra‐endurance sports are increasingly popular, yet the long‐term physiological consequences of sustained extreme training loads remain poorly understood. In particular, the effects of prolonged ultra‐endurance exercise on skeletal muscle structure, function and molecular remodelling are largely unknown.

Meta‐Analysis: Prevalence of Non‐Helicobacter pylori, Non‐NSAID Peptic Ulcer Disease

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 64, Issue 8, Page 1034-1045, October 2026.
A meta‐analysis of 92 studies including 60,816 patients found that non‐H. pylori, non‐NSAID represent a non‐negligible but heterogeneous component of peptic ulcer disease. Among bleeding ulcers, this proportion increased over time, potentially reflecting evolving etiologic patterns beyond H. pylori infection and NSAID exposure.
