Small Bowel Lesions and Bleeding Risk in Hemodialysis Patients: A Narrative Review

open access: yesHemodialysis International, EarlyView.

Proteomic Analysis of Serum Extracellular Vesicles Revealed Fibulin‐3 as a Novel Predictive Biomarker for Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Patients With Chronic Hepatitis B

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
We carried out proteomic analysis of serum extracellular vesicles to identify biomarkers predictive of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development in patients with chronic hepatitis B receiving nucleos(t)ide analog therapy. Candidate proteins identified through proteomic analysis were subsequently quantified in serum by ELISA.

Pemafibrate Improves Cholestatic Markers Regardless of the Presence of Primary Biliary Cholangitis

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
Pemafibrate improves liver function markers related to bile flow in primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), but whether this effect is disease‐specific remains unclear. In this study, pemafibrate reduced these markers in patients with and without PBC, suggesting broader effects on bile flow beyond PBC.

European S2k guidelines for hidradenitis suppurativa/acne inversa Part 1. Epidemiology, diagnosis and clinical assessment

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
Updated S2k hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) guidelines provide expert consensus on diagnosis, assessment and comorbidities. Expanded substantially since the 2015 version, they reflect rapid growth in HS literature and aim to improve generalist‐level patient care through evidence‐informed, consensus‐based guidance.

Comparative Study of Clinical Characteristics According to Pain Distribution in Lingual Burning Mouth Syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
Tongue pain mapping in 256 patients with lingual burning mouth syndrome identified distinct clinical phenotypes according to pain distribution. Wider pain areas were associated with higher pain intensity and poorer oral health‐related quality of life, supporting individualised assessment and targeted management.
