Dual‐Responsive Multi‐Functional Silica Nanoparticles With Repaired Mitochondrial Functions for Efficient Alleviation of Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Targeting mitochondrial dysfunction presents a potential therapeutic approach for treating spinal cord injury. We have successfully designed and synthesized a functional Se@NADH nanodrug system. This system offers neuroprotective and neuroregenerative benefits by modulating mitochondrial function and neutralizing reactive oxygen species, thereby ...

The mutual influence of disequilibrium composition and temperature in exoplanet atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We have developed a 1D planetary atmosphere model that solves in a self-consistent manner the evolution of temperature and disequilibrium chemistry in the vertical direction. Thermochemical kinetics is based on a reaction network built from scratch that includes 164 gaseous species composed of H, C, N, O, S, Si, P, Ti, He, and Ar, connected by 2352 ...

Multi‐Cohort Analysis Reveals Genetic Predispositions to Clonal Hematopoiesis as Mutation‐Specific Risk Factors for Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Genetics, Volume 6, Issue 1, March 2025.
This study comprehensively evaluated the differential effect of clonal hematopoiesis (CH) mutations on the risk of various stroke subtypes and functional recovery. It shows that TET2 is associated with small vessel stroke possibly via a pro‐inflammatory pathway. Abstract Recent observational studies have found an association between Clonal Hematopoesis

Proteome‐Wide Mendelian Randomization Identifies Candidate Causal Proteins for Cardiovascular Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Genetics, EarlyView.
Here, causal relations are examined between 2940 plasma proteins and 19 cardiovascular diseases (CVD) using a human genetics‐based method. 218 proteins are found whose blood levels influence CVD risks, with about half being new discoveries and largely confirmed in an independent cohort.
