On‐Chip Multiplexed Voltammetry Using a Universal Antifouling Hydrogel and Porous Gold Foam Interface for Stress and Inflammation Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
A multiplexed device is fabricated via silicon microelectronics and adapted for electrochemical sensing interface. Its 100 um gold disk electrodes are modified with porous gold foam and coated with a rapid, biocompatibleantifouling layer. Universal immunoglobulin G (IgG) capture is enabled through Protein A/G.

SMYD3 Promotes Immune Evasion in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma via SREBP1‐Mediated Transactivation of CD47

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer cell‐intrinsic SMYD3 orchestrates an immunosuppressive microenvironment and impairs the response to PD‐1 blockade by reprogramming immune cells landscape in the tumor microenvironment of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The immunomodulatory function of SMYD3 is mediated via the SREBP1/CD47 pathway.

Evaluation of the Relationship between Bulk Organic Precursors and Disinfection Byproduct Formation for Advanced Oxidation Processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are gaining traction as they offer mineralization potential rather than transferring contaminants between media. However, AOPs operated with limited energy and/or chemical inputs can exacerbate disinfection byproduct ...

Loss of NR2F6 Protects from Salmonella Typhimurium Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Loss of nuclear receptor NR2F6 reduces tissue‐resident macrophage populations. Nr2f6‐deficient mice are protected from weight loss and bacterial load during infection with Salmonella Typhimurium. Pro‐inflammatory cytokines and iron levels are altered in infected Nr2f6‐deficient mice.
