A Perspective on the Applications of Triphasic Gas Storage in Electrochemical Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gas storage in microporous materials positioned locally at an electrode or electrocatalyst surface enhances electrochemical processes. Abstract Microporous materials store gases under dry conditions (e.g., hydrogen or oxygen via physisorption), but in some cases microporous materials also show triphasic (e.g., in a solid|gas|liquid system) gas storage ...

DCD—disk caching disk

ACM SIGARCH Computer Architecture News, 1996
This paper presents a novel disk storage architecture calledDCD,Disk Caching Disk, for the purpose of optimizing I/O performance. The main idea of theDCDis to use a small log disk, referred to ascache-disk,as a secondary disk cache to optimize write performance. While the cache-disk and the normal data disk have the same physical properties, the access

Thoracic-Disk Protrusions

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1965
Sixty-one cases of surgically verified thoracic-disk protrusions (0.5% incidence) revealed that this condition affected both sexes equally, and that it was most common in patients in the fourth to sixth decade and at the lower four thoracic interspaces. The most common symptoms were pain, motor weakness, numbness, and visceral disturbances.
