Dislocation dynamics in anisotropic piezoelectric crystals. III. Elliptical dislocation loop
Philosophical Magazine A, 1990Abstract A line integral expression for the electric field around a uniformly moving elliptical dislocation loop in anisotropic piezoelectric crystals is derived from the Fourier integral expression which was given in the authors' previous (1985) paper.

Dislocation dynamics modelling of dislocation–loop interactions in irradiated metals
Philosophical Magazine, 2005The resistance dislocation loops provide to the glide of dislocations is an important element of several features of plasticity of irradiated metals. In the present work, a dislocation dynamics model based on the elasticity treatment of dislocations, with self-stress effects included, has been used to investigate the critical applied stress required ...

Study of loop–loop and loop–edge dislocation interactions in bcc iron
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 2000Recent theoretical calculations and atomistic computer simulations have shown that one-dimensional glissile clusters of self-interstitial atoms (SIAs) play an important role in the evolution of microstructure in metals and alloys under cascade damage conditions.

Crystallography of dislocations and dislocation loops in deformed iron
Philosophical Magazine, 1964Abstract Crystallographic analyses of dislocations and dislocation loops in deformed b.c.c. iron observed in the electron microscope have been carried out by applying the electron diffraction theory of contrast at dislocations. Dislocations in deformed iron are in the form of tangles, with interspersed clusters of dislocation loops, from the very first

Continuous distribution of dislocation loops
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1962Formulae are derived for the displacement and stress in an unbounded continuous isotropic medium when the dislocation loops are continuously distributed. The physical interpretation of the tensor introduced for the dislocation loop density in the crystal is discussed and the relation to the theory of the continuous distribution of dislocations is ...

The spacing of prismatic dislocation loops
Philosophical Magazine, 1960Abstract The stresses round a circular prismatic dislocation loop are determined and used to calculate the spacings between such loops in a row generated from a source of internal stress. The results are consistent with the available experimental observations.

The long-range forces between dislocation loops and dislocations
The Philosophical Magazine: A Journal of Theoretical Experimental and Applied Physics, 1964The long-range elastic interactions between dislocations and loops, both prismatic and shear, have been calculated for an isotropic medium.

Long-range elastic interaction between dislocations and dislocation loops
The Philosophical Magazine: A Journal of Theoretical Experimental and Applied Physics, 1966The long-range elastic interaction between dislocation loops and dislocations in cubic lattices is studied, using anisotropic elasticity.

Dislocation loop punching in bubble arrays
Philosophical Magazine A, 1989Abstract High densities of inert gas bubbles can be produced in metals by ion implantation or nuclear transmutations. At low temperatures, these bubbles grow by repeated emission of prismatic dislocation loops. An analysis is presented for loop punching considering the effects of the stress fields between bubbles and the presence of retained loops.
