Cellulosic materials as biopolymers and supercritical CO2as a green process: chemistry and applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this review, we describe the use of supercritical CO2 (scCO2) in several cellulose applications. The focus is on different technologies that either exist or are expected to emerge in the near future.

Synthesis and application of new mordent and disperse azo dyes based on 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2007
Novel mordent and disperse azo dyes were prepared by the coupling of various diazo solutions of aromatic amines with 2,4-ihydroxybenzophenone. The resultant dyes were characterized by elemental analyses as well as IR and NMR spectral studies.

The effect of pump depletion on reversible photodegradation

open access: yes, 2013
We model the effect of pump depletion on reversible photodegradation using the extended domain model[Anderson and Kuzyk, arXiv:1309.5176v1, 2013] and the Beer-Lambert law.

Testing the diffusion hypothesis as a mechanism of self-healing in Disperse orange 11 doped in PMMA

open access: yes, 2011
In this work, we show that reversible photodegradation of Disperse Orange 11 doped in PMMA is not due to dye diffusion - a common phenomenon observed in many dye-doped polymers.

Micro mixer with fast diffusion [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
A concept for micromixing of liquid is introduced, and its feasibility is demonstrated. The mixer allows fast mixing of small amounts of two liquids and is applicable to microliquid handling systems.

Microwave Assisted Dyeing of Polyester Fabrics with Disperse Dyes [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2013
Dyeing of polyester fabrics with thienobenzochromene disperse dyes under conventional and microwave heating conditions was studied in order to determine whether microwave heating could be used to enhance the dyeability of polyester fabrics. Fastness properties of the dyed samples were measured.

Removing Disperse red 60 and Reactive blue 19 dyes removal by using Alcea rosea root mucilage as a natural coagulant

open access: yesAMB Express, 2019
In terms of health, dyes have carcinogenic, mutagenic and toxic properties and can have adverse effects on health and the environment. Therefore, sewage containing to dyes must be purified before being discharged into the environment.
