3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Synthesis and Dyeing Performance of Some Novel Heterocyclic Azo Disperse Dyes
The synthesis of some novel heterocyclic azo disperse dyes derived from 5-acetyl-2-amino-4-methylthiazole (1) using various N-alkyl derivatives of aniline (2a-e) and their dyeing performance as disperse dyes have been assessed on polyester and nylon ...

Thioketal (TK) polymers are promising biomaterials due to their selective biodegradation by reactive oxygen species (ROS), but they respond slowly to physiologic doses of ROS. Here, the TK bond's pendant groups are modified to enhance the degradation of TK‐based implants both in vitro and in vivo.

In this study, 5-amino-4-arylazo-3-methyl-1H-pyrazoles (2a-l) were diazotized and coupled with 3-cyano-6-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-pyridone to give pyridone-based disperse disazo dyes (3a-l). The newly synthesized twelve pyridone-based disperse disazo dyes were

Mesoblends consist of a nanostructured polymer into which a second polymer is imbibed with a selective solvent. In this work, a solvent‐templatable pentablock terpolymer possessing a sulfonated midblock is modified with a hydrophilic polymer that is photocrosslinked in situ, yielding a hierarchical binetwork.

The polymer wall stabilized dye‐doped liquid crystals (PWLCs) enhance the sensitivity of photoinduced molecular reorientation in dye‐doped LC systems. The PWLC with an invisible polymer wall successfully reduces the threshold intensity and functions as an optical limiter under the incidence of low intensity light laser source.
