Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. The Role of Ultrasound Shear Wave Dispersion Imaging in Evaluating Carotid Viscoelasticity:A Preliminary Study [PDF]
Objective: To evaluate the carotid viscoelasticity using ultrasound shear wave dispersion imaging (USWD) and determine its feasibility. Methods: Fifty-three volunteers were recruited and divided into the group1 (≥50 years old) and group 2 (<50 years ...

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

DESIGN AND PARAMETER OPTIMIZATION OF A DOUBLE-CONE WHEAT PLOT SEED-METERING DEVICE BASED ON EDEM [PDF]
The traditional wheat plot seed-metering device is hampered by poor seed dispersion uniformity and a long seed falling time. To improve upon these characteristics, in this paper, we designed a double-cone combined seed-metering device.

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Oil spills and oil products destroy terrestrial and marine ecosystems. One solution to this is the use of biosurfactants. Biosurfactants are able to solubilize oil stains in soil and water. The intense reproduction of Eichhornia crassipes leads to a high

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected
