Dispersion Compensation for Atom Interferometry [PDF]
A new technique for maintaining high contrast in an atom interferometer is used to measure large de Broglie wave phase shifts. Dependence of an interaction induced phase on the atoms' velocity is compensated by applying an engineered \emph{counter phase}.

Optimal Dispersion Condition to Distinguish OPD Directions of Spectrally-Resolved Interferometry [PDF]
Spectrally resolved interferometry (SRI) is an attractive technique to measure absolute distances without any moving components. In the spectral interferogram obtained by a spectrometer, the optical path difference (OPD) can simply be extracted from the ...

Platicon dynamics in photonic molecules
Coherent dissipative structures known as platicons can be reliably generated in photonic molecules, resulting in deterministic and reproducible microcombs derived from a continuous-wave pump. However, the supermode spectrum of standard photonic molecules

Dispersed reference interferometry
Abstract Dispersed reference interferometry (DRI) is a potentially useful technique for applications such as absolute displacement, surface topography and film thickness measurement. A bulk optic implementation of a short coherence dispersed reference interferometer is described with the chromatic dispersion applied using two matched transmission ...

Study on the Friction Characteristics and Fatigue Life of Manganese Phosphate Coating Bearings
In this study, the tapered roller bearing was adopted to explore the effect of the manganese phosphate coating on the friction, wear, and lifespan of bearings. Line friction samples with and without a manganese phosphate coating were prepared.
