Displacement-noise-free resonant speed meter for gravitational-wave detection [PDF]
We demonstrate that speedmeter, based on double pumped resonant Sagnac interferometer, can be used as a displacement noise free gravitational-wave (GW) detector. The displacement noise of cavity mirrors can be completely excluded through a proper linear combination of the output signals.

Displacement field calculation of large-scale structures using computer vision with physical constraints [PDF]
Because of the advantages of easy deployment, low cost and non-contact, computer vision-based structural displacement acquisition technique has received wide attention and research in recent years. However, the displacement field acquisition of large-scale structures is a challenging topic due to the contradiction of camera field of view and resolution.

Displacements is a music and video performance that thematizes the recording of walks in public spaces (a relatively recent and popular genre of videos on streaming platforms). In a place built to organize human displacements, a moving observer registers passing bodies: their directions, flows and speeds superimposed on the shades and forms of the ...

In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

The compound effects of conflict and disaster displacement in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Some IDPs living in protracted displacement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as many Roma IDPs, were especially vulnerable to the effects of the May 2014 flooding and landslides.

Why the controversy over displacement currents never ends? [PDF]
Displacement current is the last piece of the puzzle of electromagnetic theory. Its existence implies that electromagnetic disturbance can propagate at the speed of light and finally it led to the discovery of Hertzian waves. On the other hand, since magnetic fields can be calculated only with conduction currents using Biot-Savart's law, a popular ...

Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) promote cancer growth, invasion (metastasis), and drug resistance. Here, we identified functional and diverse circulating CAFs (cCAFs) in patients with metastatic prostate cancer (mPCa). cCAFs were found in higher numbers and were functional and diverse in mPCa patients versus healthy individuals, suggesting their ...

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (
