Lab‐in‐a‐Tube System Integrating Hierarchically Wrinkled Electrodes and DNAzyme‐Functionalized Beads for Diagnosis of Clostridioides difficile Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The point‐of‐care diagnosis of Clostridioides difficile infection remains challenging due to reliance on slow culture and amplification‐based methods. A lab‐in‐a‐tube electrochemical biosensor integrating DNAzymes, antifouling magnetic beads, and a hierarchically structured flow cell enables amplification‐ and culture‐free detection directly in stool ...

Atom–Cluster Synergy in Scalable Fe–Ru Dual‐Site Architectures Accelerates Alkaline Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanochemically synthesized dual‐site electrocatalyst (RuNC@Fe1NC) accelerates alkaline hydrogen evolution via atomic‐level spatial decoupling. Oxophilic Fe single atoms effectively dissociate water, while adjacent Ru nanoclusters rapidly recombine hydrogen.

Radiofrequency and 2.45 GHz electron cyclotron resonance H− volume production ion sources

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
The volume production of negative hydrogen ions ( ${{\rm{H}}}^{-}$ ) in plasma ion sources is based on dissociative electron attachment (DEA) to rovibrationally excited hydrogen molecules (H _2 ), which is a two-step process requiring both, hot electrons

Low Resistance Interphase Formation at the PEO‐LiTFSI|LGPS Interface in Lithium Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Interfacial charge transfer and low‐resistance interphase formation between PEO‐based polymer and Li10GeP2S12 solid electrolytes are investigated using multi‐electrode impedance spectroscopy and advanced analytical techniques such as XPS and ToF‐SIMS.

Slow-electron-triggered chemistry in interstellar methanol-water ices

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Water and, to a lesser extent, methanol are widespread in interstellar space as ices, where sustained exposure to ionizing radiation promotes the formation of complex compounds such as prebiotic molecules via multi-step reactions.

Kinetics of electrons and neutral particles in radio-frequency transformer coupled plasma H− ion source at Seoul National University

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
In volume production H ^− ion sources, control of electron temperature is essential due to its close correlation with the generation of vibrationally-excited hydrogen molecules in the driver region as well as the generation of H ^− ions by dissociative ...

Keratin–Melanin Complexation Enables Robust, Delamination‐Resistant Feather‐Inspired Structural Color Coatings for Flexible and Curved Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Providing mechanically robust structural color coating technology inspired by cooperative interactions in nature. The spatial arrangement of melanin particles within the keratin matrix generates angle‐independent structural colors. Diverse functional groups in keratin and melanin contribute to interparticle and substrate adhesion, resulting in the ...

Dissociative electron attachment to the HNC$_3$ molecule

open access: yesPhysical review letters
Dissociative electron attachment (DEA) to the HNC$_3$ is modeled theoretically using a first-principles approach. In HNC$_3$+$e^-$ collisions, there is a low-energy resonance, which has a repulsive character along the H+NC$_3$ coordinate and becomes a bound electronic state of the HNC$_3^-$ anion near the equilibrium of HNC$_3$.
