Phase Separation, Material State, and Condensate Fate in Mammalian Autophagy

ABSTRACT Biomolecular phase separation has emerged as a key organizing principle in macroautophagy (hereafter autophagy). In mammalian cells, phase‐separated condensates not only serve as substrates for selective degradation, but also act as dynamic platforms for cargo recognition, signaling integration, and autophagosome assembly.

Structural Basis of Shiga Toxin Neutralization by Human Antibodies Targeting Canonical Receptor‐Binding and Non‐Canonical Assembly Sites

Cryo‐electron microscopy structures reveal two distinct neutralization mechanisms of fully human monoclonal antibodies targeting the Shiga toxin 1a B subunit. RDS059 occludes the Gb3 receptor‐binding site, whereas RDS045 engages a lateral quaternary epitope to disrupt holotoxin assembly.

Mesenchymal Stromal Cell‐Based Cell–Drug Conjugates for the Treatment of Acute Liver Failure

Mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)‐based cell‐drug conjugates are constructed by anchoring rosiglitazone‐loaded nanoparticles onto the MSC surface. Sustained rosiglitazone release enhances MSC proliferation and paracrine activity while promoting anti‐inflammatory macrophage polarization.
