Self‐healing processing in SiO2‐AlB2 and SiO2‐SiB4 glass composites for high‐temperature applications

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract AlB2 and SiB4 are used as active particles to design model SiO2‐20 vol.% active particles composites for high‐temperature applications. The oxidation of AlB2 and SiB4 particles in air at T = 1000°C–1050°C rapidly leads to the formation of an important quantity of liquid that can heal cracks.

Helicosphaera carteri (Prymnesiophyceae) under high carbon dioxide: An experimental study

open access: yesJournal of Phycology, Volume 61, Issue 6, Page 1576-1590, December 2025.
Abstract The coccolithophore Helicosphaera carteri is an understudied, yet ecologically and biogeochemically important, marine calcifier. Hence, its response to ocean acidification has implications for ecosystem function and the marine carbon cycle. Here we employed dilute batch cultures featuring a coupled C‐system manipulation (295, 444, and 600 μatm
