Psilocybin Production With Genetically Modified Aspergillus nidulans Under Pressurized Conditions

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, Volume 123, Issue 4, Page 886-898, April 2026.
Shake flask cultures of psilocybin‐producing A. nidulans were investigated with respect to nitrogen source, rheology, power input, and oxygen availability, and subsequently scaled to a stirred tank reactor scale based on specific power input to develop and optimize a pressurized bioprocess.

Enzymatic Remodelling of Tumour Microenvironment Enhances Anti‐CEACAM5 CAR T‐Cell Efficacy Against Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 13, 3 March 2026.
This study shows anti‐CEACAM5 CAR T‐cells are ineffective against colorectal cancer (CRC) because of CEACAM5 sequestration at intercellular junctions and the thick tumour cell glycocalyx. Enzymatic treatments of CRC cell monolayer/tissue section with trypsin or hyaluronidase restore CEACAM5 availability, enhance CAR T‐cell activation, increase ...

Zolpidem restores sleep and decreases amyloid in a mouse model

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Deficits in non–rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep facilitate Alzheimer's disease (AD) progression. Enhancing gamma‐aminobutyric acid‐ergic (GABAergic) signaling can restore sleep. Unbiased computational analysis identified zolpidem as high‐affinity GABA receptor modulator facilitating chloride transport that could slow AD.

Neuronal Extracellular Vesicles Carrying APOE Downregulate Filament Actin Polymerization Signaling to Inhibit Synapse Formation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 3, March 2026.
During AD progression, EVs derived from APP/PS1 neurons transport APOE into healthy neurons, potentially interacting with neuronal APOE receptors (LRP1, LDLR, VLDLR) to transduction the signaling. This signaling inhibits Rac1‐GTP activation and subsequently downregulates F‐actin polymerization through the Rac1‐N‐WASP‐Arp2/3 pathway.

Integrated Computational Evaluation of Natural Flavonoids as Potential GRK6 Inhibitors Using DFT, ADME, Docking, and Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesPhytochemicals in Food and Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 1, March 2026.
An integrated in silico approach was employed to evaluate flavonoids as potential GRK6 inhibitors, combining molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, DFT calculations, and ADME analysis. The results highlight stable binding, favorable electronic properties, and drug‐like profiles, supporting flavonoids as promising GRK6‐targeted candidates ...

$k$-Distance Magic Labeling and Long Brush Graphs

open access: yes, 2022
We define a labeling $f:$ $V(G)$ $\rightarrow$ $\{1, 2, \ldots, n\}$ on a graph $G$ of order $n \geq 3$ as a \emph{$k$-distance magic} ($k$-DM) if $\sum_{w\in \partial N_k(u)}{ f(w)}$ is a constant and independent of $u\in V(G)$ where $\partial N_k(u)$ = $\{v\in V(G): d(u, v) = k\}$, $k\in\mathbb{N}$. Graph $G$ is called a \emph{$k$-DM} if it has a $k$-

Pyrazoline Derivatives: Synthesis, In Silico, Enzyme Kinetics Studies and Biological Activity against Cholinesterase, Lipoxygenase, and α‐Amylase

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 11, Issue 9, 5 March 2026.
ABSTRACT Nucleophilic cyclization of the α, β‐unsaturated carbonyl framework of the prepared (E)‐4‐(3‐bromo‐4‐hydroxy‐5‐methoxyphenyl)but‐3‐en‐2‐one with various hydrazine derivatives to afford their corresponding pyrazolines has been achieved. The enzyme assays conducted showed significant α‐amylase inhibitory activity for 4b with IC50 value of 2.7 µM.

Orientable $\mathbb{Z}{}_{n}$-distance magic regular graphs

open access: yes, 2017
Hefetz, M tze, and Schwartz conjectured that every connected undirected graph admits an antimagic orientation. In this paper we support the analogous question for distance magic labeling. Let $ $ be an Abelian group of order $n$. A \textit{directed $ $-distance magic labeling} of an oriented graph $\vec{G} = (V,A)$ of order $n$ is a bijection $\vec ...

When should firms watch for cross‐industry competition? A demand‐side perspective

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, Volume 47, Issue 3, Page 893-941, March 2026.
Abstract Research Summary Research on competitor identification has primarily focused on intra‐industry competition. However, cross‐industry competitive threats are prevalent and consequential. We adopt a consumer‐oriented perspective to examine how consumer perceptions shape de facto competition across industry boundaries.
