Proof of the Standard Quantum Limit for Monitoring Free-Mass Position

open access: yes, 2010
The measurement result of the moved distance for a free mass m during the time t between two position measurements cannot be predicted with uncertainty smaller than sqrt{hbar t/2m}.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Using Time Drift of Cosmological Redshifts to find the Mass-Energy Density of the Universe

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper we show that the mass-energy density of the Universe can be fully determined in terms of the cosmological redshifts, their time drifts and angular-diameter distance (observer area distance).

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICE AND DISTANCE MEASURING METHOD

open access: yes, 2018
A distance measuring device includes a light emission portion for emitting light; a light receiving portion for receiving measurement light that is emitted by the light emission portion and reflected by a measurement object, the light receiving portion comprising a plurality of pixels, each pixel having at least one light receiving portion and ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Direct strain and slope measurement using 3D DSPSI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This communication presents a new implementation of DSPSI. Its main features are 1. an advanced model taking into account the beam divergence, 2. the coupling with a surface shape measurement in order to generalize DSPSI to nonplanar surfaces 3.

Indoor Inter-Robot Distance Measurement in Collaborative Systems

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2010
This paper focuses on the problem of autonomous distance calculation between multiple mobile robots in collaborative systems. We propose and discuss two distinct methods, specifically developed under important design and functional constraints, such as
