On the distinguishing chromatic number in hereditary graph classes
The distinguishing chromatic number of a graph $G$, denoted $χ_D(G)$, is the minimum number of colours in a proper vertex colouring of $G$ that is preserved by the identity automorphism only. Collins and Trenk proved that $χ_D(G)\le 2Δ(G)$ for any connected graph $G$, and the equality holds for complete balanced bipartite graphs $K_{p,p}$ and for $C_6$.

Farming in the shadows of Rome: A multi‐proxy palaeoenvironmental record from Loch Clunie—Perthshire
ABSTRACT Roman impacts on local society is a subject of international significance. Loch Clunie, Perthshire, lies only 5.4 km from Inchtuthil, the only Roman legionary fortress in Scotland, and contains two crannogs and a probable lakeside hillfort. Despite this proximity and the likelihood of local–Roman interaction, these sites remain unexcavated ...

An interdisciplinary in situ study of jewelled reliquaries of the True Cross integrates gemmology and portable analytical techniques, revealing new evidence on the identification and symbolic role of peridots and other gemstones. ABSTRACT Jewelled crosses containing relics of the True Cross occupy a central position in the devotional, artistic and ...

The Set Chromatic Numbers of the Middle and Total Graphs of a Graph [PDF]
In the area of graph colorings, much research has been done on the topic of neighbor- distinguishing colorings and the effects of graph operations on the chromatic numbers as- sociated with these colorings.

Fermentation characteristics of four southern sichuan citrus cultivars
Abstract Background Sichuan, China's leading citrus‐producing region has strong potential for citrus wine development. Citrus is rich in bioactive compounds that enhance flavor and health value, yet current citrus wines often show weak aroma and bitterness.

Adjacent vertex-distinguishing proper edge-coloring of strong product of graphs [PDF]
Let G be a finite, simple, undirected and connected graph. The adjacent vertex-distinguishing proper edge-coloring is the minimum number of colors required for a proper edge-coloring of G, in which no two adjacent vertices are incident to edges colored ...

Effects of genotype and environment on the physiochemical properties of Canadian oat varieties
Abstract BACKGROUND The relationship between oat grain composition and physical attributes as influenced by oat genotype and Canadian growing environments was investigated. Thirty Canadian oat (Avena sativa L.) genotypes, grown in three Canadian growing locations (Brandon, Manitoba; Portage la Prairie, Manitoba; and Lacombe, Alberta) over 2 consecutive

The distinguishing chromatic number of bipartite graphs of girth at least six
The distinguishing number $D(G)$ of a graph $G$ is the least integer $d$ such that $G$ has a vertex labeling with $d$ labels that is preserved only by a trivial automorphism. The distinguishing chromatic number $χ_{D}(G)$ of $G$ is defined similarly, where, in addition, $f$ is assumed to be a proper labeling. Motivated by a conjecture in \cite{colins},

Adaptive Display White Point Under Various Ambient Conditions. Part 2: Dual Illumination
This study was designed to investigate how an adaptive display white point should be adjusted under different foreground‐background illumination conditions. It was found that the background illumination had a more significant effect. ABSTRACT Adaptive displays are designed to enhance the user viewing experience by dynamically responding to ambient ...
