The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

Neutrino neutral-current elastic scattering on 12C

open access: yes, 2011
The neutral current elastic scattering of neutrinos on Carbon and $CH_2$ targets is computed using the relativistic distorted-wave impulse approximation with relativistic optical potential.

Lessons Learned: Quality Analysis of Optical Coherence Tomography in Neuromyelitis Optica

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Optical coherence tomography (OCT)‐derived retina measurements are markers for neuroaxonal visual pathway status. High‐quality OCT scans are essential for reliable measurements, but their acquisition is particularly challenging in eyes with severe visual impairment, as often observed in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders ...

Grid-Side Current Improvement With Direct Digital Control and Capacitor Voltage Feedforward to Mitigate Distorted Grid Currents for 3Φ3W LCL Grid-Connected Inverter Under Distorted Grid Voltages

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics
A three-phase three-wire LCL grid-connected inverter is usually used as an interface between renewable-energy sources and grid. However, grid voltage is always distorted and results in grid-current distortion when there is no control at the filter ...

Coulomb distortion effects in quasi-elastic (e,e') scattering on heavy nuclei

open access: yes, 2008
The influence of the Coulomb distortion for quasi-elastic (e,e') scattering on highly charged nuclei is investigated in distorted wave Born approximation for electrons.

Network Localization of Fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fatigue is among the most common symptoms and one of the main factors determining the quality of life in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying fatigue are not fully understood. Here we studied lesion locations and their connections in individuals with MS, aiming to identify brain networks ...

Are Inductive Current Transformers Performance Really Affected by Actual Distorted Network Conditions? An Experimental Case Study

open access: yesSensors, 2020
The aim of this work is to assess whether actual distorted conditions of the network are really affecting the accuracy of inductive current transformers.

Neutrino-Nucleus Quasi-Elastic Scattering in a Relativistic Model

open access: yes, 2006
A relativistic distorted-wave impulse-approximation model is applied to neutral-current and charged-current quasi-elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering.

Post‐COVID Fatigue Is Associated With Reduced Cortical Thickness After Hospitalization

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neuropsychiatric symptoms are among the most prevalent sequelae of COVID‐19, particularly among hospitalized patients. Recent research has identified volumetric brain changes associated with COVID‐19. However, it currently remains poorly understood how brain changes relate to post‐COVID fatigue and cognitive deficits.

Routine Testing–Oriented Method for Evaluating Inductive Current Transformers Accuracy Under Harmonic Distortion, Based on Maximum Current Error and Phase Displacement

open access: yesIEEE Access
In the case of the modern inductive current transformers the most important factor that have influence on their wideband accuracy is the self-distortion of the secondary current caused by the nonlinearity of the magnetization characteristic of the ...
