The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Distributed monitoring and control of future power systems via grid computing
It is now widely accepted within the electrical power supply industry that future power systems operates with significantly larger numbers of small-scale highly dispersed generation units that use renewable energy sources and also reduce carbon dioxide ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Distributed learning for multi-agent control of a dynamic system [PDF]
This thesis describes an investigation of self-organising, distributed control of dynamic, non-linear systems. The distribution is achieved through a multi-agent based approach. The self-organisation is addressed through reinforcement learning.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Distributed bearing-only formation control with four agents and a weak control law
A distributed control law for quadrilateral (four-agent) formation control with bearing-only measurements and relative pair-wise inter-agent angle constraints is introduced.

Synthesis of Communicating Controllers for Distributed Systems [PDF]
International audienceWe consider the control of distributed systems composed of subsystems communicating asynchronously; the aim is to build local controllers that restrict the behavior of a distributed system in order to satisfy a global state ...
