Distributed Delay Tolerant Protocol
2018 15th International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems (ISWCS), 2018A cubesat is a very small, low cost, artificial satellite designed for space research purposes, very popular in the academic community. The ISTsat-1 is the first cubesat being developed in Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST)[1], with a IU size (103 cm cube).

Detecting differences between delay vector distributions
Physical Review E, 1996We propose a test for the null hypothesis that two sets of vectors are drawn from the same multidimensional probability distribution. The application to delay vector distributions provides a test for the null hypothesis that two time series have been generated by the same mechanism.

Time delay distribution in Bragg gratings
Physical Review E, 2002A layer-by-layer analysis of the time delay of both reflected and transmitted light in one-dimensional photonic band-gap structures is developed and applied to uniform Bragg gratings. An effective Fabry-Pérot cavity is associated with every layer along the Bragg grating, multiple paths with a well defined layer traversal time are identified, and the ...

Efficient Low-Delay Distributed Video Coding
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2012Distributed video coding (DVC) is a video coding paradigm that allows for a low-complexity encoding process by exploiting the temporal redundancies in a video sequence at the decoder side. State-of-the-art DVC systems exhibit a structural coding delay since exploiting the temporal redundancies through motion-compensated interpolation requires the ...

Distributed Delays Stabilize Ecological Feedback Systems
Physical Review Letters, 2005We consider the effect of distributed delays in predator-prey models and ecological food webs. Whereas the occurrence of delays in population dynamics is usually regarded a destabilizing factor leading to the extinction of species, we here demonstrate complementarily that delay distributions yield larger stability regimes than single delays.

Delay bounds based constraint distribution method
IEE Proceedings - Computers and Digital Techniques, 2005Transistor sizing is one of the easiest post-processing transforms used to optimise critical paths to fill timing specifications. Most transistor sizing tools, based on nonlinear mathematical programs present high execution times and do not give an indication of the design space explored by the optimisation step.

A Distributed RC Active Delay Line
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1972A technique is illustrated for realizing the voltage transfer function\[ t( s ) = E_{{\text{out}}} /E_{{\text{in}}} = e^{ - st} \] by using a distributed RC active network of semi-infinite length.

OPTIMAL DISTRIBUTED CONTROL WITH DISTRIBUTED DELAYED MEASUREMENTS
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2002Abstract We consider the problem of optimal distributed controller design of semi-decentralized controllers for a special class of spatially distributed systems. This class includes spatially invariant and distributed systems with an inherent temporal delay in the interaction of distant sites.

Time delay systems with distributed delays: Critical values*
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2009Abstract In this paper a procedure for the computation of Lyapunov matrix of a time delay systems with a distributed delay is presented. This algorithm consist in solving a two points boundary value problem for a delay free system. Based on this approach a methodology that reveals conditions under which the characteristic function of the delay system
