Novel CT radiomics models for the postoperative prediction of early recurrence of resectable pancreatic adenocarcinoma: A single‐center retrospective study in China

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To assess the predictive capability of CT radiomics features for early recurrence (ER) of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Methods Postoperative PDAC patients were retrospectively selected, all of whom had undergone preoperative CT imaging and surgery. Both patients with resectable or borderline‐resectable pancreatic cancer met

Latency Fairness Optimization on Wireless Networks through Deep Reinforcement Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
In this paper, we propose a novel deep reinforcement learning framework to maximize user fairness in terms of delay. To this end, we devise a new version of the modified largest weighted delay first (M-LWDF) algorithm, which is called $\beta$-M-LWDF, aiming to fulfill an appropriate balance between user fairness and average delay.

Using deep learning generated CBCT contours for online dose assessment of prostate SABR treatments

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Prostate Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR) is an ultra‐hypofractionated treatment where small setup errors can lead to higher doses to organs at risk (OARs). Although bowel and bladder preparation protocols reduce inter‐fraction variability, inconsistent patient adherence still results in OAR variability.

Finite Necessary and Sufficient Stability Conditions for Linear System with Pointwise and Distributed Delays [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
This contribution presents two exponential stability criteria for linear systems with multiple pointwise and distributed delays. These results (necessary and sufficient conditions) are given in terms of the delay Lyapunov matrix and the fundamental matrix of the system.

Stability conditions for scalar delay differential equations with a nondelay term [PDF]

open access: yesAppl. Math. Comput. 250 (2015), 157-164, 2016
The problem considered in the paper is exponential stability of linear equations and global attractivity of nonlinear non-autonomous equations which include a non-delay term and one or more delayed terms. First, we demonstrate that introducing a non-delay term with a non-negative coefficient can destroy stability of the delay equation. Next, sufficient

Realization of critical eigenvalues for scalar and symmetric linear delay-differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper studies the link between the number of critical eigenvalues and the number of delays in certain classes of delay-differential equations. There are two main results. The first states that for k purely imaginary numbers which are linearly independent over the rationals, there exists a scalar delay-differential equation depending on k fixed ...

Liraglutide for idiopathic intracranial hypertension: a real‐world propensity score‐matched study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a neurological disorder predominantly affecting young women with obesity, characterized by elevated intracranial pressure. While current treatments include weight loss counseling, medical therapies, and surgical interventions, their limitations necessitate exploring novel therapeutic ...

UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase variants cause dystroglycanopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Abstract UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase (UGDH) variants have been associated with hypotonia, developmental delay, and epilepsy. We report the first pathologic evidence of dystroglycanopathy in siblings with UGDH variants. Both presented around 6 months with developmental delay and elevated creatinine kinase.

A Nonparametric Delayed Feedback Model for Conversion Rate Prediction [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Predicting conversion rates (CVRs) in display advertising (e.g., predicting the proportion of users who purchase an item (i.e., a conversion) after its corresponding ad is clicked) is important when measuring the effects of ads shown to users and to understanding the interests of the users.
