Delay-Derivative-Dependent Stability for Delayed Neural Networks With Unbound Distributed Delay
IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, 2010In this brief, based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and appropriate integral inequality, a new sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the global stability for delayed neural networks with unbounded distributed delay, in which the improved delay-partitioning technique and general convex combination are employed. The LMI-based criterion

Time delay distribution in Bragg gratings
Physical Review E, 2002A layer-by-layer analysis of the time delay of both reflected and transmitted light in one-dimensional photonic band-gap structures is developed and applied to uniform Bragg gratings. An effective Fabry-Pérot cavity is associated with every layer along the Bragg grating, multiple paths with a well defined layer traversal time are identified, and the ...

Attrition in Distributed Delay Models
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1977Distributed time delay models are extended to deal with loss of entities from within the process being modeled. Analysis of a time-invariant distributed delay shows that the statistics of individual transit times through a delay process can be very sensitive to attrition incurred during the delay.

Modeling flight departure delay distributions
2014 International Conference on Computer, Control, Informatics and Its Applications (IC3INA), 2014In this paper, we construct a probability distribution for flight departure delay durations. The probability distribution is developed by fitting historical departure delay data of an airline to a number of probability distributions. Then, we choose the most fitted model by applying two-stage Genetic Algorithm.

Delay Analysis of the Distributed RC Line
32nd Design Automation Conference, 1995This paper reviews the step-response of the semi-infinite distributed RC line and focuses mainly on the step-response of a finite-length RC line with a capacitive load termination, which is the most common model for a wire inside the present day integrated CMOS chips. In particular, we obtain the values of some of the common threshold-crossing times at

A Distributed RC Active Delay Line
SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 1972A technique is illustrated for realizing the voltage transfer function\[ t( s ) = E_{{\text{out}}} /E_{{\text{in}}} = e^{ - st} \] by using a distributed RC active network of semi-infinite length.

Distributed Voltage Control with Communication Delays
2019 American Control Conference (ACC), 2019The increased penetration of volatile renewable energy into distribution networks necessities more efficient distributed (VAR) voltage control. In these control algorithms each bus regulates its voltage fluctuations based on local voltage measurements and communication to other buses.

Analytical Model for Delay Distribution of PRMAC
2013 11th International Conference on Frontiers of Information Technology, 2013Delay is one of the most important parameters of interest while providing QOS guarantees for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Various MAC layer protocols for WSN have been proposed for efficient management of delay. Analyzing single hop and end to end delay using queuing analysis can provide significant help in modeling various real time WSN ...

Distributed filtering with random sampling and delay
Proceedings of the 27th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1988The problem of estimation and filtering in a distributed sensor environment is considered. The sensors obtain measurements about target trajectories at random times which transmit to the fusion center. The measurements arrive at the fusion with random delays which can be due to queuing at the sensor buffer and to delays in the transmission time as well

Observers for Systems with Discrete and Distributed Delays
IMA Journal of Mathematical Control and Information, 1985An observer theory for linear systems containing discrete and distributed delays in its state- and output equations is presented. In particular, existence criteria for observers with finite-dimensional error dynamics are derived. The stabilizability and eigenvalue assignability of the observation error dynamics are expressed in terms of the invariant ...
