IDENTIFICATION OF SYSTEM PARAMETERS IN DISTRIBUTED PARAMETER SYSTEMS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1990
The problem of identifying system parameters for time-invariant distributed parameter systems subject to unknown boundary conditions and initial conditions is investigated. An extension of the linear integral filter is made for handling partial derivatives of multi-variable functions. In the noise-free case, applying the extended linear integral filter

OBSERVERS FOR DISTRIBUTED-PARAMETER SYSTEMS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1989
This paper introduces a series of problems on state estimation for parabolic systems on the basis of measurements generated by sensors in the presence of unknown but bounded disturbances. Observability issues and relations to stochastic filtering schemes for distributed processes are also discussed.

Parameter identification of distributed parameter systems

Mathematical Biosciences, 1985
The problem of parameter identification for distributed parameter systems is placed in an abstract system-theoretic context, and necessary and sufficient conditions developed for parameter identifiability. Applications are given for parabolic partial differential equations.

Singular distributed parameter systems

IEE Proceedings D Control Theory and Applications, 1993
Summary: The paper deals with the distributed parameter systems described by coupled partial differential equations with singular matrix coefficients. Initial-boundary-value problems are considered in the light of both singular 1d systems theory and the Fourier approach to distributed parameter systems.

Identification of Degenerate Distributed Parameter Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1989
Abstract An abstract approximation theory for the identification of linear degenerate distributed parameter systems is developed. Central to the approach is an abstract approximation result for regular and degenerate implicit distributed systems in the spirit of the Trotter-Kato Theorem for the approximation of linear semigroups.
