Towards Distributed and Adaptive Detection and Localisation of Network Faults [PDF]
We present a statistical probing-approach to distributed fault-detection in networked systems, based on autonomous configuration of algorithm parameters. Statistical modelling is used for detection and localisation of network faults.

Identification of a hereditary system with distributed delay [PDF]
We study the identification problem that arises in a linear hereditary system with distributed delay. This involves estimating an infinite-dimensional parameter and we use the method of sieves, proposed by Grenander, to solve this ...

Vibration Suppression of a Flexible Riser by Boundary Iterative Learning Control
This paper studies the vibration suppression problem of nonlinear flexible riser systems subjected to external disturbances. For suppressing the vibration and improving the control precision, a novel joint control method which includes boundary control ...

Dynamic modeling of fluid transmission lines of the DSN 70-meter antennas by using a lumped parameter model [PDF]
Fluid transmission lines and fittings were found to significantly affect the dynamic and steady state operation of the engineering system in which they are incorporated.

Vibration Boundary Control for a One-Dimensional Flexible Beam System With Restricted Input
This paper studies a boundary control problem of a 1-D flexible beam. The objective is to design an efficient boundary controller to suppress the undesired vibration of the 1-D flexible beam with restricted input. A novel boundary controller is developed

Parametric, Probabilistic, Timed Resource Discovery System [PDF]
This paper presents a fully distributed resource discovery and reservation system. Verification of such a system is important to ensure the execution of distributed applications on a set of resources in appropriate conditions. A semi-formal model for his
