In head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) p53 and p63 exert opposite roles on the transcription regulation of the lncRNA NEAT1. Under basal conditions, p53 levels are low and p63 represses NEAT1 expression. Upon genotoxic stress, p53 is rapidly induced, displacing p63 from the NEAT1 promoter leading to NEAT1 transcriptional activation and ...

Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

This study identifies ARHGAP5, in addition to the frequently mutated ARHGAP35, as significantly mutated in endometrial cancer. Mutations in both genes co‐occur and are associated with their correlated downregulation. Functional CRISPR studies show that both paralogs regulate similar pathways, including actin cytoskeleton organization.

Self-Adaptive Secondary Frequency Regulation Strategy Based on Distributed Model Predictive Control
To address the issues of reduced adaptability of secondary frequency regulation caused by changes in power system parameters, a self-adaptive secondary frequency regulation strategy based on distributed model predictive control (DMPC) is proposed. First,

We established the avian chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay as a scalable in vivo model for studying circulating tumor cells (CTCs). Human gastrointestinal tumors spontaneously released genetically validated CTCs that were detected across multiple platforms, demonstrating that the CAM model provides an accessible tool for investigating early cancer ...

Distributed secondary control for DC microgrids using two-stage multi-agent reinforcement learning
Multi-agent reinforcement learning has emerged as a promising candidate for the secondary control of DC microgrids. However, the one-stage reward function incorporating both voltage regulation and current sharing results in the significant bus voltage ...

Incomplete microwave ablation (iMWA) of liver cancer triggers a biphasic progression in residual tumors. At Day 3, the microenvironment is characterized by acute inflammatory responses and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. By Day 14, a profound shift occurs toward oncogenic signal transduction and immunosuppression, marked by macrophage ...

Circulating microRNA profiles distinguish nonmalignant Lynch syndrome from cancer‐associated Lynch syndrome, sporadic colorectal cancer, and healthy controls. Age‐stratified analysis reveals disease‐specific regulatory states, and a six‐miRNA panel shows concordant separation in an independent colorectal tissue cohort.

Privacy-enhanced network topology for cyber-secure distributed secondary control in AC microgrids
Distributed control systems in AC microgrids face significant security challenges, particularly from active and passive cyberattacks. While previous researches have typically addressed privacy and resilience against these attack types separately within ...
