Application of a three‐phase unified power quality conditioner in a microgrid
The UPQC system designed in this study used a series inverter to compensate the voltage balance sag–swell component, providing a stable voltage for the back‐end load. When the load was unbalanced, the feeder current was unbalanced. The shunt inverter compensated for the unbalanced current balanced the feeder current to improve power quality.

Fuzzy Logic Based VCM and CCM Controlled DSTATCOM for Improved Power Quality [PDF]
Power Quality problems in distribution systems can be solved by providing suitable shunt compensation, one such device is Distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM). Power quality issues generally arise due to high-energy demand loads such as pulse loads.

Integrate renewable energy system (RES) into grid‐connected load system in enhancing reliability and reducing losses. However, integrating these systems introduce power quality (PQ) issues, especially with non‐linear, critical, and imbalanced loads. Addressing this, a hybrid mantis search‐reptile search algorithm combined with a unified power quality ...

An improved model predictive control with Luenberger state observer is proposed for LC‐coupling hybrid active power filter. This article utilizes the Luenberger observer to mitigate the steady‐state error without additional sensors, and the one‐sampling‐time delay compensation is given for the digital control delay.
