The effects of priming intermittent theta-burst stimulation on phase-amplitude coupling and its directionality in Alzheimer’s disease rats

open access: yesBrain-Apparatus Communication
Aim Intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS) shows promise in alleviating cognitive dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases. Pre-treatment with iTBS could potentially modulate the threshold of synaptic plasticity, which may enhanc the facilitative ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

A Comprehensive Review of Reliability Analysis for Pulsed Power Supplies

open access: yesEnergies
Achieving high reliability remains the critical challenge for pulsed power supplies (PPS), whose core components are susceptible to severe degradation and catastrophic failure due to long-term operation under electrical, thermal and magnetic stresses ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Leveraging the charging flexibility of electric vehicles in sequential electricity markets with frequency regulation limit

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
As the intraday market plays an important role in absorbing uncertainty from renewable energy sources, deriving trading decisions that optimizing economic benefits across sequential day-ahead and real-time markets become increasingly complex.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Interruption strategy of fault current fed by high-capacity generator based on phase selection and current-zero prediction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The high asymmetrical degree (AD, >100 %) of the fault current fed by high-capacity turbine generator (HTG) results in high arc energy (Earc), hindering reliable interruptions of generator circuit breakers (GCBs). Traditional GCBs with simultaneous three-

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
