Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

WinSRFR model validation in border irrigation in a soil in southern Uruguay

open access: yesAgrociencia Uruguay
In Uruguay, the irrigation boom driven by rice cultivation between the 1970s and 2000s and the subsequent reduction of the rice area led to the underuse of impounded water.

Comparison of PSO and GA Algorithm in Estimation of The Water Distribution Uniformity in Sprinkler Irrigation Method [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و مهندسی آبیاری, 2015
Determination of water distribution uniformity of coefficient of sprinkler irrigation based on   data of a single sprinkler is time consuming due to overlapsprinkling by neighboring sprinklers and also different pressure heads, riser heads, sprinkler ...

Load distribution in small world networks

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper we introduce a new model of data packet transport, based on a stochastic approach with the aim of characterizing the load distribution on complex networks.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Hydraulic Evaluation of Center Pivot Irrigation Systems Performance in Different Climate Conditions [PDF]

open access: yesمحیط زیست و مهندسی آب, 2017
One of the most important issues in increasing the efficiency of modern irrigation systems is their field evaluation after exploiting. Irrigation efficiency is the main indicator in measuring and managing agricultural water consumption.

Structure Optimization of Connecting Tubes of Distributor for Improving the Distribution Uniformity of Refrigerant

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2022
Air conditioning systems commonly adopt multipath heat exchangers, which require distributors to guide the two-phase refrigerant to each flow path of heat exchangers uniformly.
